Micro-LAM is seeking a skilled machinist to operate precision machining equipment on our Portage, MI site. The role involves working on a manufacturing floor, performing visual inspection and measurement of optical components, and collaborating with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure parts meet strict standards.

You'll document processes, maintain accurate production records, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on machining experience on a manufacturing floor.
• Strong knowledge of basic manufacturing tools and machinery.
• Familiarity with ultra-precision diamond turning equipment is a plus.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Positive, proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
