Job summary

TECOMET is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist in Oreland, PA to perform specialized machining on stainless steel and other alloys. You will set up and operate manual machines, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances.

Responsibilities include reworking parts per print, documenting routings and inspections, maintaining safe, organized work areas, and collaborating with engineering to develop fixtures. Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years machine shop experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and work from drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Able to read calipers and micrometers.
• Welding experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machinery including mills, lathes, drill presses, gun drills, surface grinders and hand tools.
• Rework parts per print with written and verbal instructions.
• Maintain production by completing scheduled work on time.
• Inspect components to ensure form, fit, and function meet dimensional criteria.
• Complete routings and inspection reports as required.
• Document time entries and ensure shop floor packets are current.
• Maintain inventory of material and hardware.
• Assist engineering to develop fixtures and tooling sheets.
• Assist in other production areas when needed.
• Respond to issues during assembly to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
