Job summary

Dover Precision Components is seeking a Manual Machinist to set up and operate lathes and mills with high tolerance requirements. You will read drawings, select fixtures, and maintain tooling while ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced shop environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma with shop training and 2–4 years of experience operating manual milling or turning equipment. Weekend and overtime may be required to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with two years shop training or equivalent.
• 2–4 years’ experience operating a manual mill or lathe.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with gauges, micrometers, and Vernier.

Responsibilities

• Set up lathes, mills, and related equipment with supervision.
• Operate machines to tolerances per drawings and process sheets.
• Inspect work using gauges and measuring tools; record results.
• Maintain safe and clean work area and follow safety directives.
• Provide routine maintenance on equipment as required.
