Job summary

Dover Precision Components is seeking a Manual Machinist to set up and operate manual lathes and mills, following blueprints and process sheets. You will determine speeds and feeds, sharpen tools, and ensure tolerances meet exacting specifications.

Responsibilities include preparing work, selecting chucks/fixtures, performing close-tolerance machining, and maintaining a clean, safe work area with adherence to safety directives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with two years shop training or equivalent is required.
• 2–4 years’ experience in operating a manual mill or lathe.

Responsibilities

• Operates lathes, mills and other production equipment with moderate supervision.
• Works from drawings, process sheets, specifications or layouts; sets up machines.
