GCX in Franklin, MA is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate metal-working equipment to produce parts per technical drawings. You will read blueprints, select tooling, and verify dimensions with precision gauges.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of machinist experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of machining and metal fabrication methods, equipment, and tooling.
• Experience setting up and operating machining equipment.
• Understanding of cutting-tool speeds and feeds for different metals.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Experience using precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery to produce metal parts according to specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, work instructions, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Select appropriate tooling and determine speeds and feeds for cutting different metals.
• Perform machine setups and make necessary adjustments during production.
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Monitor production and verify that parts meet established quality standards and specifications.
• Follow ISO quality controls and complete required production and inspection documentation.
• Identify and report equipment, tooling, production, or quality issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing practices.
• Support other production areas and work at different stations as assigned based on workload and business needs.
• Work independently and collaboratively to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
