Job summary

The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Machinist to manufacture, repair, modify, and rework precision parts and equipment in a federal facility.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints and plans, setting up and programming CNC and conventional machines, performing cutting, drilling, milling, turning, grinding, and assembly, and ensuring tolerances and finishes meet specifications. Shift work and security clearances may apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints, 3D models, drawings, and work orders to plan machining tasks.
• Ability to set up, program, operate, and troubleshoot CNC and conventional machine tools.
• Ability to perform precision machining including drilling, milling, turning, and grinding.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, repair, modify, and rework precision parts and equipment.
• Select materials, tools, fixtures, machine settings, and work sequences.
• Complete precision handwork, fitting, finishing, and assembly of parts.
• Conduct hardness and conductivity testing to verify material and heat-treatment conditions.
