Hoefs Recruiting Solutions is partnering with a well-established manufacturer in Racine, Wisconsin to hire a Machinist on 1st shift. The role involves hands-on operation of manual and CNC machine tools, reading blueprints, and maintaining tolerances in a molding department.

You will set up tooling, monitor machine performance, and verify parts with micrometers and calipers, collaborating with engineering to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Use precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers) to verify parts.
• Hands-on experience or technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and CNC machine tools (lathe, mill, grinder) to repair and rebuild parts.
• Read blueprints, drawings and specs to determine dimensions, tolerances and machining sequence.
• Set up tooling, fixtures, and attachments on various machines.
• Monitor machine operation and adjust to maintain tolerances and quality.
• Verify finished parts to spec using micrometers and calipers.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve machining issues.
