Job summary

QPS Employment Group seeks an experienced CNC Machinist in Racine, WI to set up, program, and operate Haas CNC Vertical Mills and Lathes on 2nd shift. The role requires strong blueprint reading, tool selection, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances while meeting quality standards.

Shift is 2nd, 3:30pm-2:00am, Monday-Thursday, with a wage of $30.00-$34.00/hour plus a $1.50/hour shift premium. Candidates should have prior CNC experience and be capable of performing first-piece inspections

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC machining and programming required.
• Experience setting up Haas CNC equipment and tooling.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate Haas CNC Vertical Mills and Lathes.
• Perform complete machine setups, tooling and workholding.
• Create and modify CNC programs as needed.
• Read blueprints and interpret drawings and specs.
• Ensure tooling speeds and feeds are correct for tolerance control.
• Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy using calipers, micrometers, gauges.

Position Title: CNC Machinist

Position Title: CNC Machinist Wage: $30.00-$34.00/hour + $1.50/hour shift premium Shift: 2nd Hours: 3:30pm-2:00am Monday-Thursday We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a 2nd-shift manufacturing opportunity in Racine, WI.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate Haas CNC Vertical Mills and Lathes
• Perform complete machine setups, including tooling and workholding
• Create and modify CNC programs as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Determine appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining processes
• Perform offsets and make machine adjustments to maintain specifications
• Inspect completed parts for dimensional accuracy and quality
• Use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues
• Complete first-piece inspections and make necessary adjustments
• Maintain consistent quality and productivity standards
• Follow all safety and manufacturing procedures

Requirements

• Previous CNC machining experience required
• Experience setting up and programming Haas CNC equipment
• Experience with Vertical Mills and CNC Lathes
• Strong machine setup skills
• CNC programming experience required
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
• Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, speeds, and feeds
• Ability to work with tight tolerances
