Job summary

Qualifications

Proven experience as CNC operator.
Skilled in operating CNC machinery and tooling and precision measurement tools.
Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and documents.
Computer savvy with basic CAD/CAM understanding.
Mechanical aptitude and strong math skills.
Keen eye for detail and results-oriented mindset.
High school diploma or equivalent; engineering-related certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Study blueprints, drawings, manuals, or specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
Measure and mark dimensions on material as guides for machining.
Set up and secure fixtures, tools, attachments, and materials on machines.
Set controls for speed, feed, coolant, and depth of cut; enter or edit CNC data.
Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions and adjust controls as needed.
Verify finished workpiece against specifications using inspection tools.
Run trial setups to verify machine settings and data accuracy.
Perform routine maintenance on machines as required.
Consult with engineers and production staff to resolve machining issues.
