Job summary

Synectics Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking a skilled Machinist for the second shift (2:30 PM–11:00 PM). You will set up and operate lathes and milling machines, review drawings, and perform CNC machining with close tolerances to produce critical components.

The role requires reading blueprints, precise measurement, and programing manual, semi-automatic, or automated machines. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience with CAD software; high school

Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and route sheets.
Proficient in basic mathematics and measurements.
Safety-conscious with manufacturing process understanding.
Experience with CAD software is a plus.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate lathes and milling machines.
Review drawings, blueprints, and instructions; prove-out parts.
Program and operate CNC machines for milling, turning, and close-tolerance work.
Take precise measurements and set machine parameters.
Maintain machine tools and assistant equipment; perform routine maintenance.
Inspect finished output and address defects.
Keep workstation clean and safe; monitor workflow and adjust as needed.
Support team with related manufacturing tasks as required.
