Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Newburyport, MA is seeking an experienced Second Shift Machinist who has completed a CNC Machining Program and 3+ years of solid machining experience. You will join an inspiring team of Machinists and Engineers committed to quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires operating CNC lathes and milling machines, reading blueprints, and maintaining safety and housekeeping in a high‑precision manufacturing environment. Onsite work only.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency certified required.
• 3+ years or more of Machining background and/or experience in a machine shop.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Set Up and operate CNC lathes and/or Milling machines and related equipment.
• Work with Engineers and Programmers to make edits/adjustments to meet blueprints/work orders.
• Operate more than one machine in a cellular environment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of feeds/speeds and cutting tools and their application.
• Inspect work for all dimensional features and ensure quality.
• Complete paperwork relating to counts, scrap, and time according to policy.
• Maintain area, equipment and tooling in a neat, safe condition and perform operator maintenance.
