Job summary

Chromalloy Corporation in LaGrange, GA is seeking a Machinist for second shift. You will set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines to produce precision parts, read blueprints, and verify tolerances with precision instruments.

Ideal candidates have experience with lathes, VTL, grinding and milling, strong math skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. Overtime, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits are available for non-exempt roles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Trade certificate or specialized machining education preferred.
• Previous experience operating manual machinery is required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain manual tools to fabricate or repair precision components.
• Analyze blueprints and work orders to determine setups and sequences.
• Apply GD&T knowledge to ensure product conformity.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, and pi tapes to verify specs.
• Maintain accurate inspection documentation and production records.
• Collaborate with team and supervisors to meet priorities.
