Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. in Burleson, TX is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to set up and operate lathes, mills, drills, presses, and CNC machines, following blueprints and process sheets to ensure quality parts.

You will inspect components with calipers and gauges, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and collaborate with teammates to improve production flow. The role requires precision, reliability, and the ability to stand through shifts in a non-climate-controlled shop, with

Qualifications

Math skills to read and comprehend instructions in English and complete logs/reports in English.
Ability to handle heavy items and operate in a non-climate-controlled shop.
Ability to follow hours and company timekeeping policies.
Ability to stand for an entire shift in a shop environment.
Learn fundamental machining concepts and use measuring devices.
Work closely with supervisors and team members to optimize production.

Responsibilities

Follow production instructions from process sheets, blueprints, or supervisor directions.
Align and secure dies, punches, blades, or fixtures for safe machine operation.
Set up and operate machines (lathes, mills, drills, presses, CNC) per specs.
Monitor production and inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges for tolerances.
Maintain safety and cleanliness; use PPE and crane/buddy system as needed.
Assist in other duties or departments as required.
