Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to join our Burleson, TX team. You will follow process sheets, set up fixtures, and operate lathes, mills, drills, and CNC machines to produce quality components.

You will inspect finished parts, maintain clean and safe work areas, and support other departments as needed. The role requires math skills, physical stamina, and reliability in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.

Qualifications

• Requires average math skills and ability to read English instructions and complete simple logs and reports.
• Must be physically able to lift, push, pull and handle components.
• Able to work scheduled hours and comply with timekeeping and company policies.
• Ability to stand for an entire shift in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.
• Learn fundamental machining concepts and use measuring devices.
• Work with others to optimize production processes and implement improvements.
• Attention to detail is essential for maintaining quality standards.
• Demonstrates reliability and consistent performance.
• Detail-oriented with flexibility to respond to shifting production demands.

Responsibilities

• Follow production instructions from process sheets, blueprints, or supervisor directions.
• Install machine fixtures to ensure safe operation.
• Set up and operate lathes, mills, drills, presses, and CNC machines.
• Inspect operations and measure finished products to verify tolerances.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE while using cranes or buddy system for heavy parts.
• Perform other duties as needed.
