Job summary

Radian is seeking a motivated machine operator to set up and run manufacturing equipment for hearing protection products. You will monitor operations, verify materials, and record production data to ensure quality and efficiency.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year experience, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Forklift experience is a plus and teamwork with engineering is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of machine operator experience in manufacturing.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Ability to read procedures, instructions, and product specifications.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Forklift experience preferred for loading/unloading pallets.
• Strong communication with engineering and management is required.
• Proficient with PC, calculator, and scales; MS Windows experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manufacturing equipment to meet product specifications and production goals.
• Examine, measure, and weigh materials to verify conformance using scales.
• Monitor machine operations and detect malfunctions via lights and gauges.
• Review procedures and work orders to determine materials, settings, and adjustments.
• Record production data such as meter readings and quantities.
• Shut down processes if products do not meet standards.
• Move materials and finished products between storage and work areas using a hand truck or forklift.
• Be flexible in work assignments and scheduling as needed.
