We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality precision parts that meet customer specifications and production requirements. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and committed to producing quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily production goals while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and workplace safety.

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality precision parts in accordance with production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements. This position plays a key role in meeting daily production goals while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate assigned manufacturing equipment safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Read and follow work instructions, travelers, blueprints, and production schedules.
  • Load raw materials and unload finished parts while ensuring proper machine operation.
  • Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Monitor machine performance and identify quality or production concerns.
  • Perform routine machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Accurately complete production, quality, and inspection documentation.
  • Report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or production delays to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S principles and company standards.
  • Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in achieving departmental production goals.
  • Assist with training and mentoring new machine operators as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Education
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Technical, vocational, or trade school training in manufacturing or machining is a plus.
Required Experience
  • Previous experience operating manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Experience in precision manufacturing, metal stamping, machining, assembly, or other production environments is highly desirable.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and production documentation is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a manufacturing environment where employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical equipment, moderate to high noise levels, varying temperatures, oils, lubricants, and other manufacturing-related conditions. Employees must follow all safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
  • Frequently use hands and fingers to handle small parts and operate machinery.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
  • Sufficient visual acuity to inspect parts and read measuring instruments.
  • Ability to work safely around moving machinery and equipment.
