Job summary

Radian in Memphis, TN is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to set up and operate manufacturing equipment for hearing protection products. You will monitor operations, measure materials, and maintain production data while ensuring quality standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1+ year of machine operation experience, and forklift familiarity; strong reading of procedures and ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience as Machine Operator in manufacturing.
• Mechanical aptitude and simple math skills.
• Ability to read and understand procedures, work instructions, and product specifications.
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs regularly.
• Forklift experience loading and unloading pallets is a plus.
• Ability to communicate with engineering and management.
• PC, calculator, and scale familiarity.
• MS Windows Experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manufacturing equipment to meet product specifications and production goals.
• Examine, measure, and weigh materials/products to verify conformance to standards, using measuring devices such as scales.
• Monitor the machine operations and observe lights and gauges to detect malfunctions.
• Review procedures, work instructions, and work orders to determine materials, settings, and adjustments needed for the manufacture and/or packaging of hearing protection products.
• Record and maintain production data such as meter readings, quantities, types, and dimensions of materials used and products produced.
• Shut down processes, isolate products, and notify management in the event product fails to meet standards.
• Ensure that materials and finished products are moved between storage and work areas using a hand truck or forklift.
• Be able to be flexible in work assignments and scheduling as needed.

Requirements

Education and/or experience & other skills and abilities:
