Job summary

SPX Cooling Technologies is seeking a Machine Operator to operate fabricating machines and help produce high-quality HVAC components. You will work to cut, form, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures using equipment like saws, shears, and presses.

This role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety standards. The position supports our Dixon, IL facility, with opportunities to read drawings, set up tooling, and perform routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 1 year experience operating fabricating machinery.
• Read a tape measure and convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials into machine.
• Setup and change tooling used in the machine.
• Operate machine controls and change programming for each work order.
• Interpret mechanical engineered drawings (blueprints).
• Troubleshoot issues with assistance.
• Clean machines and complete preventative maintenance per schedule.
• Complete necessary paperwork.
• Report on supply levels.
• Assist in other work areas as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned.
