You will follow instructions, set up fixtures, operate lathes, mills, drills, presses, and CNC machines, inspect parts for tolerances, and uphold safety standards. The role requires standing shifts, lifting heavy items, and collaborating with the production team.

Qualifications

• Math skills: reads and comprehends English instructions and completes simple logs/reports.
• Physical capability: able to lift/push/pull heavy items.
• Policy/procedure compliance: follow scheduled hours and timekeeping policies.
• Stamina: stand for entire shift in a non-climate-controlled shop.
• Machining knowledge: learn fundamental machining concepts and measure parts.
• Collaboration: work with supervisors and teammates to improve production.
• Accuracy: maintain high attention to detail.
• Reliability: dependable and consistent performance.
• Adaptable precision: detail-oriented with flexibility to shift production demands.

Responsibilities

• Follow production instructions from process sheets, blueprints, or verbal directions.
• Install and secure dies, punches, blades, or fixtures.
• Operate machines such as lathes, mills, drills, presses, and CNCs.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify tolerances.
• Maintain safety protocols, wear PPE, and keep area clean; use crane as needed.
• Assist in other duties as needed.
