Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our precision-focused team. You will set up and operate CNC Lathe machines, read blueprints, and apply GD&T to ensure parts meet exact tolerances.

The role emphasizes collaboration with quality and supervision to maintain workflow efficiency. The position offers a 3rd shift schedule (Mon-Thurs, 8:00 PM–6:30 AM) with standard PPE and safety protocols, plus opportunities for skill development and career advancement

Qualifications

Knowledge of calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
Strong math skills for precision machining.
Ability to accurately document machining procedures.
Familiarity with metals, fixtures, and lathe/mill tooling.
Experience with Okuma, Mazak, and Mori lathe machines is preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC Lathe machines for turning, drilling, bar feeding, and live tooling.
Optimize setup times, improve productivity, maintain offsets, and maximize machine utilization.
Read blueprints and route instructions with GD&T application.
Troubleshoot programs and make necessary adjustments.
Follow in-process inspection protocols and report non-conformances.
