Job summary

Workstream is hiring for a Kitchen Prep role in Chicago. You will set up and stock stations, prepare food, plate dishes attractively, and operate kitchen equipment safely to ensure quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, following management policies, and upholding health, safety, and sanitation standards while providing staff meals and participating in on-site discounts and benefits.

Qualifications

• California Food Handler Certificate is required.
• Cooking and prep experience or back-of-house experience preferred.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare all food items in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Plate food attractively to maximize customer enjoyment.
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Clean and maintain station with safety and sanitation.
• Complete opening and closing duties each shift.
• Follow policies and processes communicated by management.
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
