Job summary

Aramark in Chicago, IL is seeking a Food Prep Worker Lead to assist cooks and managers with ingredient preparation and production tasks. You will follow recipes, uphold food safety practices, and support daily kitchen operations in accordance with client requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in food prep or food service-related work.
• Knowledge of various food prep methods, accurate knife handling, and food safety regulations.
• Exercise considerable judgment based on previous experience to solve problems.
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the work of others, without direct performance management responsibilities
• Prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knifes
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
• Accurately stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets
