Job summary

RTCA is seeking a Hone Operator to join our Fife, WA site onsite. You will set up, operate and monitor honing equipment to ensure parts meet engineering specifications, quality requirements and on-time delivery for aerospace programs.

Work closely with production, quality and engineering teams; read blueprints, interpret drawings, and perform inspections with precision measuring tools; maintain documentation and keep a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year honing equipment setup/operation experience in manufacturing.
• Read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and detail orientation.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills for production documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust honing machines per work instructions and specs.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools and document results.
• Read blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure conformance.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and accurate production records.
• Identify tooling or equipment issues and report to supervisor.
