Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group, a precision manufacturing client, seeks an experienced Honing Technician / Precision ID Machinist to set up and operate manual honing equipment and produce components meeting exact tolerances and surface finish. The ideal candidate has 1+ year honing or precision machining experience, can read blueprints, and use micrometers, calipers, and dial gauges.

Starting pay is $32.00+ per hour with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of honing or precision machining experience.
  • Experience working with extremely tight tolerances.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of machining practices, shop mathematics, and metal properties.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual honing machines
  • Produce components to extremely tight tolerances (up to 0.0001-0.0002")
  • Hone aluminum, steel, titanium, plastics, and specialty alloys
  • Select proper honing stones, abrasives, tooling, and fixtures
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
  • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, dial bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
  • Verify quality, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet production goals
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

We are searching for an experiencedHoning Technician / Precision ID Machinistto join one of our valued manufacturing clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a precision machining professional who enjoys working with tight tolerances, high-quality components, and advanced manufacturing processes.

Our client is an established precision machining company with more than 50 years of experience serving the aerospace, defense, medical, automotive, marine, commercial, manufacturing, and oil & gas industries. They are recognized for producing high-quality precision components that consistently exceed customer expectations.

Compensation

Starting at$32.00+/hr(based on experience)

Position Summary

The Honing Technician will be responsible for setting up and operating manual honing equipment to manufacture precision components that meet exact dimensional tolerances and superior surface finish requirements. This position requires strong machining skills, attention to detail, and the ability to inspect parts using precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate manual honing machines
  • Produce components to extremely tight tolerances (up to 0.0001-0.0002")
  • Hone aluminum, steel, titanium, plastics, and specialty alloys
