Job summary

Oak Farms Dairy is seeking a quality assurance technician to perform product testing, sample preparation, and data evaluation to ensure the highest food safety and quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma and familiarity with laboratory equipment, QA processes, and regulatory compliance. You will maintain records, calibrate instruments, and assist with CIP cleaning while upholding strict safety practices in a production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with food manufacturing, lab, QA, or related work experience
• Post-secondary education in food science, biological science, or related fields is acceptable
• Up to 1 year of food manufacturing laboratory or QA experience preferred
• Certification/licensing such as Better Processing Certificate may be required during employment

Responsibilities

• Ensure batch preparation and QC activities meet specifications
• Test incoming/outgoing products for compliance with standards
• Perform sample setup, preparation, and cleanup
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation
• Notify supervisor of out-of-range values or quality deviations
• Maintain lab records and complete paperwork accurately and timely
• Prepare reports of results
• Monitor process control and report statistics to supervisor
• Participate in meetings and suggest efficiency improvements
• Perform routine cleaning and CIP tasks; wash lab utensils and glassware
• Maintain safe working conditions per state/federal regulations
• Follow GMP and all food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
