Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Dallas, TX is seeking a Quality Assurance technician to support product testing, sampling, and QA programs across batching and production. You will calibrate lab equipment, maintain records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with GMP and safety regulations, working with accuracy, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with food manufacturing, lab, quality assurance, or related work experience.
• Up to 1 year of food manufacturing laboratory or QA experience preferred.
• Certification and/or License may be required during course of employment such as Better Processing Certificate or state certifications for antibiotic testing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of batch preparation and QC activities, including process inspection, sampling, and evaluation to meet specification and quality standards.
• Test incoming and outgoing products for suitability and compliance with standards.
• Perform sample setup/sorting, preparation, and cleanup.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation as directed.
• Notify supervisor of out-of-range values or variations and monitor quality problems.
• Maintain lab records and complete paperwork accurately; data entry into systems.
• Prepare reports of results.
• Maintain process control by monitoring and reporting statistics.
• Participate in task meetings and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Daily cleaning of work areas; CIP cleaning; wash lab utensils and glassware.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with regulations.
• Follow GMP and all regulatory, food safety, and sanitation requirements.
