Motion Industries in Plano, TX seeks a skilled Fabricator to make, repair, adapt, and rectify tools, dies and related mechanical equipment with high precision. You will interpret blueprints, set up fabricating machines, and assemble components to precise specifications under supervision.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to read work orders and measurements, and safe operation of various fabrication tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret gauges and indicators to verify machine operation.
• Ability to read and understand work orders and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts prior to assembly using measuring tools.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines (brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, drill presses) to form components.
• Weld components in various positions and tack-weld parts as needed.
• Follow blueprints and layout specifications to assemble units or subassemblies.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and adhere to safety practices.
• Study engineering drawings to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
