Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with measuring and layout using rulers/calipers.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align and secure parts prior to assembly.
• Examine pieces for defects and verify conformance to specs.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines (brakes, rolls, shears, etc.).
• Weld components and follow blueprints to form subunits.
• Follow safety practices and keep the work area clean.
• Study drawings to determine materials and task sequences.
