Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts prior to assembly.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure conformance with specifications.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines (brakes, rolls, shears, grinders, drill presses).
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions as needed.
• Follow blueprints and layout specifications; tack-weld when required.
• Maintain safe work habits and keep the area clean.
• Study drawings to determine materials and task sequences.
