Job summary

Motion Industries in Plano, TX is seeking a skilled Fabricator to make, repair, adapt and rectify dies and tooling with high-precision tolerances by reading blueprints, checking specs and performing operative tests. You will set up and operate fabricating machines and assemble components per engineering drawings.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, strong math and measurement skills, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, positions, aligns, and secures parts prior to assembly.
• Operates fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders and drill presses.
• May weld components in various positions and tack-weld as needed.
• Interprets blueprints and layouts to determine materials and sequences.
• Maintains clean and safe work area.
