Job summary

nVent is seeking a Fabrication Operator to support world-class manufacturing. You will skillfully operate fabricating machines to produce reliable electrical solutions in a collaborative, innovative environment.

Responsibilities include reading work orders, setting up equipment, performing routine maintenance, handling materials, rivet and spot weld pieces, and helping maintain a safe, customer-focused workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Read and understand shop orders and tolerances; perform basic measurements.

Responsibilities

• Read shop work orders to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specified length using scale, rule, or template.
• Perform minor daily and weekly machine maintenance including oiling machines and cleaning.
• Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, jib cranes, and vacuum lifters.
• Rivet and spot weld work pieces.
• Foster an enjoyable work environment focused on the customer and product quality.
