Job summary

nVent is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to set up, operate, and maintain progressive die press machines and associated equipment to produce quality parts per blueprints. You will work with cadweld/brazing equipment and other tooling, while following safety procedures and maintaining clean, organized work areas.

You should have strong troubleshooting skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to make informed decisions.
• Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated, safety and quality conscious, and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and reading blueprints.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Prior experience in a light industrial facility preferred.
• Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs; lift truck experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate heavy-duty power equipment to shape products per blueprints.
• Assist setup and operate multiple automatic equipment for various products.
• Read drawings, order sheets, schedules, and instructions.
• Check material size, type, and identification against specs.
• Assist with dies setup and machine adjustments.
• Use measuring tools to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Move materials using pallet jack, forklift, or crane as needed.
• Install and check safety devices for specific jobs.
• Report faulty equipment or materials and follow safety rules.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and perform related duties as needed.
