Job summary

SPX Technologies in Madison, AL is seeking a skilled Machine Operator II to join our fabrication team. You will operate laser, punch, brakes and other fabricating equipment to form metal parts per blueprints and specifications, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in manufacturing, proficiency with tape measures and reading blueprints, and the ability to set up and adjust machines, perform light programming, and use hand tools with precision.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3–5 years experience operating fabricating machinery.
• Able to read a tape measure and convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser, punching and brake machines per procedures.
• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings accurately.
• Inspect parts for accuracy and quality; use hand tools and measuring devices as required.
• Assist in trouble shooting and maintain safe operation of equipment.
