Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking an Operations Manager (Fabrication) in Madison, AL. You will provide hands-on leadership across fabrication operations, machine shop, and paint, driving safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.

This role focuses on developing supervisors and hourly staff while scaling operations to meet customer commitments. The position requires deep manufacturing knowledge, experience with Lean deployment, and the ability to manage budgets and cross-functional initiatives

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of progressive supervisory/ops leadership in manufacturing.
• Proven ability to scale operations and lead continuous improvement.
• Experience with metal fabrication or engineered-to-order manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead production supervisors across multiple shifts, ensuring safe and effective operations.
• Drive safety performance and investigate incidents to ensure corrective actions.
• Oversee fabrication, machine shop, and paint operations to meet schedules and customer commitments.
• Develop and implement Lean deployment, standard work, and visual management.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize flow, labor, and costs.
