Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Machine Operator II to operate laser, brake, and punching equipment, cutting and bending metal parts to spec. You will read blueprints, set up machines, and ensure parts meet quality standards while safely handling tools and equipment.

The role involves working with overhead cranes and forklifts in a manufacturing environment on SPX's campus, with emphasis on precision and efficiency. High school diploma or GED required, 3-5 years in manufacturing preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• 3-5 years experience operating fabricating machinery
• Read a tape measure and convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates laser and brake/punching machines according to established procedures and guidelines
• Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely fashion
• Interprets blueprints and engineering drawings
• Inspects finished products and uses hand tools and measuring devices
• Performs troubleshooting on machines and maintains safety practices
