Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking an Operations Manager for the Madison, AL facility. You will lead fabrication operations across multiple shifts, machine shop, and paint operations, developing supervisors and hourly employees while driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

You will partner with HR, Quality, and Engineering to sustain continuous improvement, achieve on-time production, and scale operations in a campus environment that includes Marley and Ingenia Technologies.

Qualifications

At least 7 years of progressive supervisory, management, or operations leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience leading through supervisors or team leaders with responsibility for multiple shifts and production teams.
Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and industrial paint operations.
Demonstrated ability to drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, develop, and manage production supervisors across multiple shifts.
Help determine strategy, priorities, and direction for site operations.
Build a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Partner with HR on workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and retention.
Identify capability gaps and implement training and development plans.
Lead Lean deployment, standard work, and problem-solving initiatives.
Translate demand into capacity, labor, tooling, and floor-space requirements.
Manage budgets, labor, overtime, and operating costs.
Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Materials, and Maintenance to ensure quality and uptime.
