Job summary

HECO Inc. in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a skilled mechanical technician to dismantle AC/DC motors up to 15,000HP and 13,800V, document findings, and prepare tablet-based job packets for full project records.

You will assemble, align, and test repaired units to meet specifications, and perform electrical and mechanical testing using the listed instruments, recording data and ensuring adherence to customer standards and QA procedures.

Qualifications

• Mechanical troubleshooting and inspection of motors.
• Motor replacement, repair, and maintenance activities.
• Mechanical testing to verify performance and specifications.
• Manual machining skills for component work.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle and inspect AC/DC motors through 15,000HP and 13,800V.
• Assemble, align, and test repaired units to meet specifications.
• Execute electrical and mechanical testing with listed instruments.
• Record all test data and measurements in tablet-based job packets.
• Comply with Customer standards and internal quality procedures.
