Kloeckner Metals - Americas is seeking a Cut to Length Operator in Houston to set up, operate, and tend our metal cutting equipment according to customer specs. You will verify dimensions, inspect for defects, and document machine data to meet production goals.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years in a production environment, preferably metals, with proficiency in using measuring devices and reading work orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, 1–2 years in a production role preferred in metals.
• Ability to read work orders and measure to specifications.
• Experience with measuring devices and quality inspection.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend the Cut to Length machine.
• Measure and verify dimensions with micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, and rulers.
• Inspect finished pieces for defects and sort by type.
• Read production/work orders to determine material specs and tolerances.
• Document machine data, monitor operations, and adjust speeds as needed.
• Maintain and lubricate equipment; ensure alignment and fixture security.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
