Job summary

Impact Electronic Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Conformal Coating Operator to apply protective conformal coatings to PCBAs, safeguarding them against moisture, dust, chemicals, and other environmental hazards.

You will own the complete coating workflow—from masking and material preparation to spray application, curing, inspection, and rework—to meet IPC-A-610, IPC-CC-830, and J-STD-001 standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with conformal coating processes and IPC standards preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Mask components to remain uncoated using approved masking materials.
• Perform manual spray or brush coating to achieve uniform coverage.
• Prepare and mix coating materials to required viscosity and ratios.
• Control curing ovens and maintain designated temperature profiles and cycles.
• Inspect coating visually and microscopically under UV for defects.
• Remove excess coating and reapply to correct voids or miscoatings.
• Disassemble, clean, and maintain spray equipment and monitor inventory.
