Job summary

Impact Electronic Solutions, Inc. seeks an experienced Conformal Coating Operator to apply protective coatings to PCBAs, guarding against moisture, dust and chemicals.

You will own the coating workflow from masking and material prep to spray application, curing, inspection and rework, ensuring IPC-A-610, IPC-CC-830 and J-STD-001 compliance.

The role demands precision, steady hands, and a strong commitment to quality in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Mask components to remain uncoated using specialized tapes and boots, following drawings.
• Apply conformal coatings via manual spray and controlled brush methods to achieve uniform thickness.
• Mix and prepare coating liquids (acrylates, polyurethanes, silicones, epoxies) to precise viscosities.
• Manage curing ovens and monitor temperature profiles and dwell times.
• Inspect coatings visually and with UV to ensure coverage and absence of defects per IPC standards.
• Perform rework and touch-ups to correct voids or bridging while maintaining process integrity.
• Maintain spray equipment and inventory using FIFO and Kanban.
