Job summary

Impact Electronic Solutions is seeking an experienced Conformal Coating Operator to join our electronics manufacturing team in Florida. You will own the coating workflow—from masking and material preparation to spray application, curing, inspection, and rework—to ensure high-quality PCBA protection per industry standards.

In this role, you will handle acrylics, polyurethanes, silicones, and epoxies safely, read engineering drawings, and maintain equipment and inventory while upholding IPC-A-610,

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to mask components that must remain free of coating.
• Perform manual spray and brush coating to achieve even coverage on PCBA geometries.
• Safely mix and handle conformal coating materials to precise viscosity specs.
• Inspect coated assemblies under UV light for coverage and defects per IPC standards.
• Maintain equipment, manage material inventory, and uphold process integrity.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings to accurately mask components that must stay uncoated.
• Apply conformal coatings via spray and brush to ensure uniform thickness.
• Safely mix acrylics, polyurethanes, silicones, and epoxies to spec.
• Control curing with designated temperature profiles and dwell times.
• Inspect coatings visually and with UV to verify quality per IPC standards.
• Perform rework and touch-up to correct voids, gaps, or bridging.
• Disassemble, clean, and maintain spray equipment; track inventory.
