Job summary

ST Engineering MRAS is seeking a meticulous technician to fabricate and repair complex composite and metal bonded assemblies. You will work with intricate components requiring precise alignment in fixtures and close tolerances, reading detailed drawings, and preparing materials for bonding processes.

You will manage lay-up of laminates, cure-related handling, and post-cure teardown, while adhering to safety procedures and using precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Broad shop trade knowledge of bonding procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret complex assembly drawings, lofts, and specifications, use shop mathematics and work with precision measuring instruments.
• Export-controlled technology requires U.S. Person status or government authorization.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and repair complex composite and metal bonded assemblies.
• Prepare materials, molds, patterns, and adhesives for bonding processes.
• Lay-out resin impregnated sheets against molds for complex contours.
• Align components to close tolerances and verify with drawings and sketches.
• Remove parts post-cure and clean molds/tools; perform teardown and repair as needed.
• Ensure safe operation of cranes, forklifts, and other lift devices.
