Job summary

Owens Corning in North Platte, NE, is seeking to hire for a CNC router operator on the 2nd shift (5:00pm-3:30am). You'll set up, program, operate and tend a computerized woodworking router, perform trial cuts and ensure equipment runs to spec.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, good math and measurement skills, and the ability to read and write English. You must lift up to 50 lbs and maintain safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, operate and tend CNC router.
• Start router, adjust controls and run trial cuts.
• Determine product specs from blueprints and work orders.
• Feed doors into CNC machine to produce routing.
• Adjust CNC machine and set controls for specified cuts.
• Monitor CNC operation and correct issues to meet specs.
• Inspect finished pieces and stack for next workstation.
• Verify quality of all completed products and maintain focus.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
