Job summary

Owens Corning in North Platte, NE is hiring for a manufacturing operations role on 1st shift (6:00am–4:30pm, Monday–Thursday). This position involves loading rails, staging materials, cutting to size, and performing pre-operational inspections.

The ideal candidate will understand rail types and schedules, read a tape measure, and work safely as part of a team. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus; attendance and reliability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of rail types and sizes and ability to understand production schedules.
• Able to operate a radial arm saw.
• Read and write English and use a tape measure.
• Good attendance and safety record.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load rails and paper core on carts for layup.
• Stage rails in a safe, accessible manner per the production schedule.
• Cut rails to proper size as needed.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections.
• Clean and maintain the area and forklift.
