Job summary

Thorlabs is seeking a CNC operator to run CNC machines, inspect components to drawing standards, and help with manual mills/lathes. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and housekeeping in a fast-paced environment.

Training in CNC programming is a plus, with 1–2 years of similar experience preferred. The position requires standing or sitting for long periods, ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and use of PPE to handle chemicals and chemicals safely.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a similar CNC role preferred.
• Training in CNC programming is a plus.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines per inch and metric drawings.
• Inspect machined parts for dimensional accuracy.
• May operate manual mills and lathes as needed.
• Keep the work area clean and perform routine CNC maintenance.
