Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is partnering with a Buffalo-area manufacturer to recruit a CNC Programmer. You will develop and optimize CNC programs for precision machined parts, working with machinists, manufacturing engineering, and quality teams to meet tight dimensional and finish requirements.

Responsibilities include selecting tools, validating toolpaths with CAD/CAM tools, supporting first-piece prove-outs, and preparing setup sheets and operator instructions.

Formación

• Practical CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to machining processes.
• Working knowledge of G-code, M-code, machining principles, cutting tools, and workholding.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software, program verification, and shop-floor troubleshooting.
• Ability to use precision inspection tools and communicate effectively with machinists and engineers.

Responsabilidades

• Create, modify, and maintain CNC programs from engineering drawings, solid models, and manufacturing requirements.
• Develop machining sequences and select cutting tools, holders, workholding, speeds, feeds, and setup strategies.
• Use CAD/CAM tools and simulation/verification methods to identify machining risks before release.
• Support first-piece prove-outs, machine setups, troubleshooting, and program adjustments on the production floor.
• Optimize toolpaths, cycle times, tool life, surface finish, and dimensional consistency.
• Prepare setup sheets, tooling lists, program documentation, and operator instructions with revision control.
• Collaborate with quality personnel to address dimensional issues and verify print compliance.
• Assist with fixture concepts and provide feedback on manufacturability and recurring production issues.
