Job summary

Curbell, Plastics. is seeking a CNC Operator in the Brookneal, VA area to set up and run CNC centers, mills, lathes, and router equipment. The role includes some warehouse duties and SAP-based shipping/receiving tasks, performed under moderate supervision.

The successful candidate will read blueprints, inspect parts to prints, and perform routine preventive maintenance while contributing to safety and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints, sketches, and parts lists and interpreting assembly instructions.
• Performing dimensional and visual inspections to prints and specifications.
• Operating CNC machinery with supervision and following safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates CNC saws, lathes, milling machines, drills, shapers, boring mills and grinders to fabricate/repair parts.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, and parts lists and verifies specifications.
• Conducts dimensional and visual inspections.
• Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Fills warehouse orders and operates SAP for receiving/shipping.
• Documents transfer orders, bills of lading, delivery notes, and work orders.
• Resolves production issues and communicates errors.
• Participates in safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
