Job summary

Curbell Plastics, Inc. is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC machines, load and create programs via data transfer and MDI. You will interpret complex blueprints, produce quality parts on schedule, and work with leads to meet production goals.

This role requires autonomy with little supervision, and involves mentoring junior operators and assisting in program development to optimize efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4 years of CNC setup, servicing, and code editing.
• High School diploma or better.

Responsibilities

• Assist Leads, programmers, and supervisor on setups and execution of projects.
• Set up and operate machine tools to meet drawings, including G-Code/MDI and independent programming of CNC tools.
• Develop tools and fixtures; apply lean practices to reduce waste and improve flow; identify and remove inefficiencies from programs.
• Assist in daily preventative maintenance of machine tools and repair minor damage to machinery.
• Train and mentor Machine Operators and Machinist I employees; perform other duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
