Curbell, Inc. in Brookneal, VA is seeking a skilled CNC machinist to support leads, programmers and supervisors with setups and project execution.

You will set up and operate machine tools to meet drawings, write or modify G-code/MDI and CAD/CAM programs, and apply lean practices to eliminate waste and improve flow. Training operators and performing routine maintenance are also part of the role.

Formación

• High School or better.
• 3 years: CNC setup, servicing, and code editing required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Leads, programmers, and supervisor on setups and execution of projects.
• Set up and operate machine tools to meet drawing specs; create G-Code/MDI and CAD/CAM programs as needed.
• Use machining experience to assist programming with labor tools and fixtures; apply lean practices to improve flow and reduce waste.
• Identify and remove inefficiencies from programs to improve process.
• Assist in daily preventive maintenance for machine tools; repair minor damage to machinery and tooling.
• Train machine operators in proper setup and operation of machine tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
