Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a CNC Setup Operator to set up, operate, and monitor CNC machinery to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. You will review job orders, install tooling, load programs, and perform first-piece inspections, ensuring tolerances and ISO safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of CNC setup and operation experience.
• Ability to set up tooling, offsets, and program loading.
• Strong reading of CNC prints and maintaining tolerances to .000.
• Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Familiarity with machine controls, troubleshooting, and optimizing setups.

Responsibilities

• Review job orders and drawings to determine setup requirements for CNC machines.
• Select and install tooling, fixtures, and materials according to specifications.
• Load CNC programs and verify accuracy before production runs.
• Perform precise machine adjustments, including offsets and tool changes, to maintain tight tolerances.
• Conduct first-piece inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Document setup details and inspection results for quality assurance.
• Monitor machine performance during initial runs and optimize efficiency.
• Collaborate with operators and supervisors for smooth transitions between setups and runs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and ISO standards
